Victoria Falls town is small and walkable with mostly flat, paved main roads, but the rainforest walking trails along the falls themselves are wet, slippery, and stepped, so a carrier is far more practical there than a stroller. Most hotels and the main strip are easy with wheels.

🍽️Food & Eating

Hotels and restaurants along the main tourist strip are very used to international families, with pizza, pasta, and grilled options widely available alongside local dishes like sadza. The Big Tree area and Victoria Falls Safari Lodge both do relaxed family-friendly dining with wildlife views.

🛡️Safety

The town itself is safe and tourism-focused, though this is a malaria area requiring precautions for young children. Wildlife (baboons, elephants, occasionally hippos) can wander through town and the lodge grounds, so kids should always be supervised outdoors, especially near the river.

🏥Hospitals

Victoria Falls has a small private clinic for minor issues, but serious cases are typically evacuated to Johannesburg. Comprehensive travel insurance with medical evacuation cover is strongly recommended given how remote the town is from major hospitals.
