πΌPram
Sydney is very pram-friendly in its major areas. The ferry network, trains (most CBD stations have lifts), and buses all accommodate prams. Bondi Beach to Coogee coastal walk has some steps but is mostly manageable. Darling Harbour and the Foreshore are excellent for prams.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Sydney's cafe culture is world-class and children are universally welcomed. The city has excellent baby-friendly cafes across the inner suburbs that have become an institution: dedicated change tables, baby-warming facilities, and high chairs everywhere. Manly, Glebe, and Paddington are particularly family-welcoming.
π‘οΈSafety
Consistently rated one of the world's safest cities. Sun safety is the primary concern: UV is extremely high year-round and babies burn within minutes. Slip, slop, slap from the moment they go outside. Ocean safety at beaches requires vigilance: always swim between the flags.
π₯Hospitals
Sydney Children's Hospital at Randwick and The Children's Hospital at Westmead are two of Australia's premier paediatric facilities. The public system provides excellent emergency care. Private hospitals including St Vincent's, Royal North Shore, and Royal Prince Alfred all have strong paediatric departments.
