This is a safari and mokoro (canoe) destination, not a walking one: strollers are essentially unused since transfers happen by light aircraft, 4x4, or traditional canoe. Family camps have flat, easy paths within the property but are otherwise unfenced bush.

🍽️Food & Eating

Safari camps serve set buffet-style meals with kid-friendly staples like pasta and chicken always available, and staff are experienced with young children even in remote settings. Bring a stock of familiar snacks since options are very limited once out in the Delta.

🛡️Safety

This is a malaria area and genuinely remote, with unfenced camps where wildlife can wander close by, so children are supervised closely at all times and never left alone outside tents or chalets. Mokoro transfers and some camps are only realistically suited to walking-age children rather than infants.

🏥Hospitals

Medical care is minimal outside Maun town itself, and remote camps rely on Flying Doctors-style air evacuation for anything serious. Comprehensive medical evacuation insurance is essential, not optional, for a family trip here.
