Ayers Rock Resort (Yulara) is compact and mostly paved, but the base walk around Uluru itself is a long, unshaded, sandy/red-dirt track better suited to a sturdy all terrain stroller or carrier. The shorter Mala Walk section near the car park is the easiest option with very young children.

🍽️Food & Eating

Ayers Rock Resort has a handful of family friendly dining options, including a supermarket and casual cafes, though prices are high given the remote monopoly setting. Bringing snacks and formula from a major city beforehand is a common strategy.

🛡️Safety

Extremely remote and desert hot, so heat exhaustion and sun exposure are the real risks rather than crime, which is negligible. Walking trails close by 11am on very hot days, so plan sunrise outings and avoid midday sun with toddlers entirely.

🏥Hospitals

There's a small medical centre at the resort for minor issues, but the nearest hospital is Alice Springs, about a 5 hour drive or short flight away, so pack any regular medications and a solid first aid kit.
