The newer parts of Tangier, including the corniche and Ville Nouvelle, have decent pavements and are workable with a stroller, while the hillside Kasbah and old medina have steps and narrow lanes better suited to a carrier. The city has invested heavily in its waterfront promenade in recent years.

🍽️Food & Eating

Tangier's mix of Spanish, French, and Moroccan influences means an easy range of kid-friendly options, from pizza and pasta to grilled fish and tagines. Cafes along the modern corniche are relaxed and used to families.

🛡️Safety

Tangier has cleaned up significantly in the past decade and feels noticeably safer and calmer than its old reputation suggests, especially around the renovated port and Kasbah areas. Normal city awareness applies in crowded medina alleys, particularly around bag security.

🏥Hospitals

Private clinics like Clinique Saint Antoine have English or French-speaking staff and handle routine family medical needs well. As a major port city close to Spain, medical evacuation to Europe is also relatively straightforward if needed.
