πΌPram
The medina's cobblestone alleys are genuinely tough on wheels, so a carrier works much better than a stroller for exploring the old town. The seafront promenade and main square, Place Moulay Hassan, are flatter and easier going.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Grilled fish straight off the boats at the port is a highlight, and many cafes around the medina do simple pasta, omelets, and fries for kids. Riads and hotels are generally happy to prepare simpler meals for younger children on request.
π‘οΈSafety
Essaouira has a relaxed, artsy atmosphere and is considered one of Morocco's safer, calmer towns for families. The strong Atlantic wind and occasionally rough surf are the main practical hazards, so watch little ones closely near the beach and ramparts.
π₯Hospitals
There's a small regional hospital in town, but it's limited, and most visitors head to Marrakech (about 2.5 hours away) for anything beyond minor issues. Pack a basic first aid kit and any regular medications before arriving.
