Stick to well-known tourist areas like Nyali and Diani rather than downtown Mombasa after dark, and use registered taxis or hotel transport rather than walking with young kids at night. This is a malaria zone, so mosquito precautions are essential.

🏥Hospitals

The Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa is the region's best option, with English-speaking doctors and a solid reputation for treating international visitors, including children. Most resorts also keep an on-call doctor for minor issues.
