πΌPram
The small waterfront strip along Marsden Road is flat and easy for a stroller, but this is primarily a boat trip base for exploring the Bay of Islands, so many of the main attractions (dolphin cruises, island hopping) mean carrying a stroller on and off boats, where a carrier works better.
π½οΈFood & Eating
The waterfront has a relaxed selection of casual cafes and restaurants with sea views, most fine with high chairs and simple kids' meals. It's a small town, so options are more limited than a big city, but everything is walkable.
π‘οΈSafety
A safe, small holiday town. Boat trips are the main activity, so life jackets and sun protection matter more than anything else, and the subtropical Bay of Islands sun is strong even on cloudy days.
π₯Hospitals
The nearest hospital is Bay of Islands Hospital in Kawakawa, about 20 minutes away, with Whangarei Hospital further south for more serious cases. Pharmacies are available in nearby Paihia and Kerikeri.
