🚼Stroller
Mexico City's Roma, Condesa, and Polanco neighbourhoods have smooth pavements and flat terrain that work well with strollers. The historic centre has cobblestones and narrow pavements. The Metro is accessible at major stations but very crowded at peak times — buses are easier with a stroller.
🍽️Food & Eating
CDMX has one of the world's great food scenes and is very family-friendly in the right neighbourhoods. Tacos, quesadillas, soups, and fresh juices are excellent toddler food. Condesa and Polanco cafes are accustomed to families with children.
🛡️Safety
Safety varies dramatically by neighbourhood. Condesa, Roma, Polanco, and Coyoacán are genuinely safe for tourist families. Avoid the historic centre at night and areas beyond the tourist belt. Altitude sickness (2,240m elevation) can affect young children on arrival.
🏥Hospitals
Hospital Ángeles Pedregal and Hospital Español are the top private options with English-speaking staff. Hospital ABC (American British Cowdray) in Santa Fe is specifically designed for expatriates and tourists with comprehensive English-language paediatric services.
