Luxembourg City is genuinely stroller-friendly, with lifts down into the dramatic Petrusse and Grund valleys and smooth pavements across the newer Kirchberg district. Best of all, public transport (buses and trams) is completely free nationwide, which makes getting around with a stroller and a tired toddler much easier.

🍽️Food & Eating

The city is full of family-friendly cafes and bakeries, and portions in most restaurants are generous enough to share. Supermarkets like Cactus and Auchan are well stocked for baby food and formula if you need emergency supplies.

🛡️Safety

Extremely safe and orderly, with very low crime and clean public spaces. Tap water is safe to drink and among the highest quality in Europe. The main risk is simply cost, everyday spending adds up fast in one of the world's wealthiest cities.

🏥Hospitals

Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg (CHL) has a dedicated paediatric emergency department and a large international, English-speaking staff base thanks to the city's expat population. Pharmacies are well distributed and easy to find.
