πΌPram
London buses are brilliant with prams: dedicated spaces and no folding required. The Tube is hit-or-miss; only about 25% of stations are step-free so check TfL's accessibility map before every journey. The Elizabeth line and Overground are much better. Hyde Park, Regent's Park, and South Bank are flat and pram-perfect.
π½οΈFood & Eating
London's food scene is world-class and extremely family-friendly: every cuisine imaginable is available and children are welcomed in most casual restaurants. High chairs are standard. The city is expensive so self-catering with supermarket lunches (Marks & Spencer, Waitrose) helps significantly.
π‘οΈSafety
Safe and very family-friendly. Petty theft exists in crowded tourist spots like Oxford Street, Camden Market, and on the Tube: use anti-theft bags. The NHS provides free emergency care to all visitors, which is genuinely reassuring.
π₯Hospitals
Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is one of the world's finest children's hospitals. King's College Hospital, St Thomas', and the Royal London all have excellent paediatric A&E departments with no language barrier for English-speaking families.
