πΌPram
The town centre is small and flat, but Killarney National Park's trails around Muckross House and the lakes are gravel and can be uneven. Jaunting cars (horse-drawn carriages) are a popular and stroller-free way to see the park with toddlers who tire of walking.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Family-run pubs and cafes along High Street and New Street are relaxed about kids, and most offer simple menus (fish and chips, chicken goujons). Self-catering cottages are common here, which helps if you want to cook for picky toddlers.
π‘οΈSafety
One of the safest small towns in Ireland, with essentially no violent crime. Tap water is safe, and the main things to plan around are wet weather and narrow rural roads if you're driving the Ring of Kerry.
π₯Hospitals
University Hospital Kerry in nearby Tralee (about 20 minutes away) is the main hospital serving the area and has a paediatric unit. Killarney itself has a local medical centre and pharmacies for everyday needs.
