The island is flat overall, and resort promenades in Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo are easy for strollers, but the vast open dunes of Corralejo Natural Park require a carrier or all-terrain buggy. Wind is a bigger practical issue here than terrain, as Fuerteventura is famously breezy.

🍽️Food & Eating

Resort restaurants in Caleta de Fuste and Corralejo cater well to families with kids' menus and high chairs. Local fish restaurants along the harbours are casual and toddler-tolerant. Supermarkets are reasonably well stocked, though selection is narrower than on Tenerife or Gran Canaria.

🛡️Safety

Fuerteventura is quiet and safe, with some of the emptiest beaches in the Canaries. Tap water is desalinated, so bottled is preferred. Strong wind and Atlantic swell make some beaches better for surfing than toddler paddling, so choose sheltered spots like Playa del Castillo for young children.

🏥Hospitals

Hospital General de Fuerteventura in Puerto del Rosario is the main facility. It's smaller than hospitals on the bigger islands, so serious issues are sometimes transferred to Gran Canaria. Private clinics near Corralejo and Caleta de Fuste are useful for everyday concerns.
