Family-friendly restaurants cluster in the main resorts with the usual pizza, pasta and grilled options, and supermarkets stock recognizable baby brands. Local mercados sell fresh produce and cheese. Traditional bodegas (wineries) and some upscale restaurants are less toddler-oriented, so check ahead.

Lanzarote is calm and low-crime, popular with families precisely because it feels relaxed. Tap water is desalinated and safe but tastes different, so most people drink bottled. The volcanic coastline has some dramatic cliffs and strong currents in places, so supervise closely and stick to marked swimming beaches like Playa Dorada.

Hospital Doctor Jose Molina Orosa in Arrecife is the main hospital with an emergency department. English-speaking staff are more common in private clinics near Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. Pharmacies are well distributed across the resort areas.
