πΌPram
The island is compact, car free, and built entirely around resort logistics, so golf buggies and a shuttle bus do the heavy lifting instead of long stroller walks. Marina Village and the main resort paths are flat and paved, though some accommodation is on hillside sections reached by buggy rather than foot.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Family resorts here are extremely well set up for kids, with dedicated kids' clubs, casual marina front dining, and high chairs everywhere. Reef View Hotel and the Marina Village restaurants all offer easy, unfussy menus for toddlers.
π‘οΈSafety
A very safe, self contained resort island with negligible crime and calm swimming beaches (Catseye Beach is stinger netted). The main things to plan around are strong tropical sun and the cost of everything being imported, since it's a private island resort.
π₯Hospitals
Hamilton Island has an on-island medical centre for routine issues, with Mackay or the Whitsunday Coast the nearest hospitals for anything serious via medical transfer. Pack a well stocked first aid kit since options are limited compared to the mainland.
