Diani's resorts sit along a long white-sand beach with flat, easy grounds, though the sand itself isn't stroller-friendly, so many families use a carrier or beach buggy for the shoreline and a stroller within resort grounds. The main Diani Beach Road has patchy pavements.

Beach resorts here are genuinely set up for families, with kids' buffets, high chairs, and staff used to fussy toddlers. Fresh seafood and tropical fruit are abundant, and most hotels can arrange simple, mild meals for younger kids on request.

Diani is one of Kenya's most relaxed, family-oriented beach destinations, with a reef that keeps the water calm and safe for young swimmers. As with the wider coast, this is a malaria area, so repellent and covered clothing at dusk matter for young children.

🏥Hospitals

Diani Beach Hospital is a well-regarded private facility used to treating tourists, including children, and is a genuine plus for this destination. Mombasa's Aga Khan Hospital is about 30 to 45 minutes away for anything more serious.
