πΌPram
Cappadocia is genuinely difficult for a stroller: the appeal is rock-cut cave hotels, uneven volcanic terrain and steep valley trails, all of which mean a carrier or simply carrying a toddler is the realistic approach. Cave hotels themselves often have internal steps between rooms, so ask specifically about ground-floor, step-free rooms when booking. This is a region better suited to walking toddlers than babies who still need pram naps.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Goreme and Uchisar have plenty of family-run restaurants serving simple grilled meats, flatbreads and rice dishes that toddlers generally take to. Hotel breakfasts are typically large Turkish spreads with cheese, olives, bread and fruit, easy to pick mild options from. Fussy eaters may need more coaxing outside the main tourist towns.
π‘οΈSafety
Cappadocia is safe with low crime, but the famous hot air balloon rides are not suitable for young children and most operators set minimum age or height requirements, so treat it as a trip for the adults to enjoy in shifts. Avoid tap water, bottled water is standard. Uneven ground near valley viewpoints and cave dwellings needs close supervision with toddlers.
π₯Hospitals
Nevsehir State Hospital is the main regional hospital, with more limited English than in coastal resort towns, so having accommodation staff help translate for anything beyond minor issues is useful. Pharmacies (eczane) are available in Goreme and Urgup for everyday needs.
