Santorini is genuinely difficult for strollers: Fira and Oia are built on the caldera cliffside with hundreds of steps, narrow stepped lanes, and no flat routes between levels. Families do better with a sturdy carrier, and it's worth choosing a hotel near a flatter beach town like Kamari or Perissa if stroller access matters to you.

🍽️Food & Eating

Restaurants in the main tourist areas are used to visiting families and will generally accommodate a toddler with simple pasta or bread, though many of the famous caldera-view restaurants are geared toward romantic dinners rather than kids. Beach town tavernas in Kamari and Perissa tend to be more relaxed and family-friendly.

🛡️Safety

Santorini is low-crime, but the real hazards for toddlers are the cliffside drops, steep unguarded steps, and the local donkey and mule paths in Fira, which are not stroller or toddler-safe. Sun exposure is intense in summer with little shade on the caldera rim, so plan around midday heat.

🏥Hospitals

Santorini's public health center in Fira handles routine issues, but the island's medical resources are limited and serious cases are typically transferred to Athens. It's worth having travel insurance that covers medical evacuation, and packing a well-stocked first aid kit for common toddler ailments.
