Aqaba's Corniche and the newer Ayla waterfront development are flat, paved, and easy with a stroller, a nice contrast to hilly Amman or rocky Petra. Beach resort grounds are similarly stroller-friendly.

Aqaba is relaxed and beach-town casual, with plenty of seafood restaurants and cafes along the Corniche used to families. Carrefour and local supermarkets stock a reasonable range of baby food and formula.

🛡️Safety

Aqaba is calm, safe, and popular with Jordanian families themselves for weekend beach trips. The Red Sea here has minimal current in the main swimming bays, and glass-bottom boats are a gentle way for toddlers to see the coral without snorkeling.

Princess Haya Hospital in Aqaba provides solid general and emergency care. For complex pediatric needs, Amman's specialist hospitals are about a 4-hour drive or a short domestic flight away.
