🚼Pram

Tallinn's medieval Old Town is beautiful but cobbled and hilly in places, which makes a carrier easier than a stroller for the upper town around Toompea. The newer parts of the city, including the Kadriorg Park area and the waterfront by the Seaplane Harbour Museum, are flat, modern and genuinely pram-friendly. Trams are step-free at most central stops.

🍽️Food & Eating

Tallinn's restaurant scene is more digital and modern than its medieval streets suggest, and most cafes are relaxed about kids, though formal kids' menus are less universal than in Western Europe. Simple, mild Estonian dishes like potatoes, soups and pastries are easy wins for toddlers. Supermarkets (Rimi, Coop) are well stocked for self-catering.

🛡️Safety

Tallinn is one of the safer capitals in Europe, with low crime and a well-run city centre. Tap water is safe to drink throughout. Cobblestones in the Old Town are the main physical hazard for a toddler learning to walk, so sturdy shoes help.

🏥Hospitals

Tallinn Children's Hospital (Tallinna Lastehaigla) is a dedicated pediatric facility, and the North Estonia Medical Centre also handles emergencies, both with reasonably good English among younger staff. Pharmacies (apteek) are common throughout the Old Town and city centre.
