🚼Stroller
The historic Old Town cobblestones and Charles Bridge can be challenging with a stroller. Wenceslas Square and the New Town area are flat and manageable. The metro has lifts at most stations. A carrier is useful for the castle district which involves significant climbing.
🍽️Food & Eating
Czech cuisine is hearty and kid-friendly — roast pork, svíčková (beef in cream sauce), and bread dumplings go down well with toddlers. Prague's growing cafe culture means plenty of family-friendly spots with high chairs in the Vinohrady and Žižkov districts.
🛡️Safety
Very safe European city with low crime. Taxi scams targeting tourists are the main concern — always use Bolt or Uber rather than street taxis. The castle steps and riverbanks require supervision for young children.
🏥Hospitals
Motol University Hospital (FN Motol) is Prague's main children's hospital with a large paediatric department. Canadian Medical Care Praha and Poliklinika Italská have English-speaking GPs for non-emergency consultations.
