πΌPram
Taipei's MRT has lifts at virtually every station and is one of the cleanest and most accessible metro systems in Asia. The city is flat in the basin and footpaths are wide and smooth. Night markets are busy but navigable with a compact pram if you visit before 8pm.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Taiwanese food culture adores children. Night markets are genuinely toddler-friendly for early evening visits: scallion pancakes, beef noodle soup, bubble tea, and stinky tofu (for the brave) are iconic. Most sit-down restaurants have high chairs and staff go out of their way for families.
π‘οΈSafety
Consistently one of Asia's safest cities: extremely low violent crime and a culture of mutual respect and helpfulness. Typhoon season (June to October) requires monitoring weather forecasts as storms can disrupt travel plans. Tap water is safe to drink.
π₯Hospitals
National Taiwan University Hospital and Mackay Memorial Hospital are the main English-friendly options used by expatriates. Mackay has specifically excellent English-language service and a strong international patients department with paediatric coverage.
