🚼Stroller

The Gold Coast is extremely flat and purpose-built for family tourism. Surfers Paradise beachfront, the Pacific Fair shopping complex, and the theme park zones are all excellent for strollers. The surf beach boardwalk runs for kilometres and is smooth and wide.

🍽️Food & Eating

The Gold Coast's hospitality industry is deeply oriented toward families. Theme park dining, beachfront cafes, and the Broadwater foreshore all have excellent casual family dining. Toddler menus are standard at most restaurants.

🛡️Safety

Very safe and explicitly family-oriented. The main concerns are sun safety (UV is extreme — always slip, slop, slap) and surf safety at beaches — always use the patrolled areas between the flags and never let children near the surf without an adult. Jellyfish (bluebottles) appear seasonally.

🏥Hospitals

Gold Coast University Hospital is the main public facility with a solid paediatric department. John Flynn Private Hospital (Tugun) and Pindara Private Hospital are the main private options with English throughout.
