Auckland's central waterfront (Viaduct Harbour, Wynyard Quarter) is flat and pram-perfect. The volcanic cones (One Tree Hill, Mount Eden) have steep paths requiring a carrier. The city's rolling hills mean a lightweight pram beats a heavy one: urban buses all accommodate prams.

🍽️Food & Eating

New Zealand's cafe culture is excellent and very family-oriented. The food scene in Ponsonby and Britomart has high chairs and children's menus as standard. Fresh seafood, lamb, and New Zealand produce make for excellent toddler-friendly dining.

🛡️Safety

One of the world's safest countries with very low crime. Sun safety is critical: New Zealand has some of the highest UV levels in the world due to the thin ozone layer. Apply SPF50+ sunscreen to babies even on cloudy days.

🏥Hospitals

Starship Children's Hospital (part of Auckland City Hospital) is New Zealand's national children's hospital with excellent emergency capability. Southern Cross and Mercy Ascot are the main private options with English throughout.
