πΌPram
The Malecon boardwalk is flat, wide, and stroller-perfect for miles along the bay. The cobblestone streets of the Zona Romantica and older downtown are charming but rough on wheels, so a carrier helps for those areas. Most resorts in the Marina and Nuevo Vallarta zones have smooth, purpose-built paths.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Family-friendly spots are everywhere, from beachfront palapa restaurants with kids' menus to taco stands used to tourists. Fresh seafood is a highlight, though go easy on street ceviche for very young kids. Supermarkets like Mega and Soriana carry familiar baby products.
π‘οΈSafety
The tourist zones (Marina, Hotel Zone, Romantic Zone) are well patrolled and feel safe for families day and night. Jalisco state has cartel activity but it rarely touches the tourist corridor. Stick to bottled water and watch kids closely around the ocean, rip currents can be strong on open beaches.
π₯Hospitals
CMQ Hospital and Amerimed both have English-speaking doctors and pediatric services, and are used to tourist insurance claims. Pharmacies are plentiful along the Malecon and in shopping centers. Sunscreen and rehydration salts are worth packing, the heat and humidity catch toddlers out fast.
