The long beachfront Paseo Maritimo and Muelle Uno by the port are flat, wide, and ideal for strolling with kids. The historic center around the Cathedral and Alcazaba has cobblestones and some steps up to the fortress, so a carrier helps for that part. Parque de Malaga, the palm lined garden between the port and old town, is a good flat stretch for little legs.

🍽️Food & Eating

Beachside chiringuitos serving grilled sardines and simple plates are casual and very kid friendly, often with sand right at the table. Dinner in town tends to run late, around 9pm, though tourist areas near the port serve earlier for families. High chairs are common and portions can usually be split.

🛡️Safety

Malaga is a low crime, relaxed city and generally easy for families to navigate on foot. The main risks are sun and heat, especially at the beach in summer, so schedule outdoor time around the midday siesta hours and pack sunscreen and hats. Roads near the port and old town have decent pedestrian crossings but watch for scooters.

🏥Hospitals

Hospital Regional Universitario de Malaga is the main public hospital with a pediatric emergency unit. Hospital Quironsalud Malaga is a private option popular with tourists and expats, generally with English speaking staff on hand.
