Nagoya is spread out but flat and well organized, with wide pavements and elevators at nearly every subway station. LEGOLAND Japan and the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park are both fully stroller-friendly, and Higashiyama Zoo's paths are paved throughout, though the zoo's hilly sections can be a workout for the adult pushing.

🍽️Food & Eating

Nagoya's signature dishes (miso katsu, hitsumabushi grilled eel, tebasaki chicken wings) are served in casual settings that welcome kids, and family chains like Gusto and Saizeriya are widespread. LEGOLAND Japan and the Port of Nagoya Aquarium have dedicated family dining areas with high chairs and kids' menus.

🛡️Safety

Nagoya is a safe, low-crime city with drinkable tap water. Summers are hot and humid (Jul-Aug), which can be tough on toddlers, so plan indoor breaks at the aquarium, science museum, or LEGOLAND's indoor zones during the hottest hours.

🏥Hospitals

Nagoya University Hospital and Nagoya Daini Red Cross Hospital both have experience with international patients, and the city has a good density of pediatric clinics. English support is moderate in central areas like Sakae and Nagoya Station but thinner elsewhere.
