Parent Tips

🚼Pram

Monaco is built on a steep hillside, so expect stairs, escalators, and public lifts everywhere rather than flat pavements. The Oceanographic Museum and Larvotto Beach areas are more stroller-manageable, but a baby carrier is genuinely useful for the hillier old town.

🍽️Food & Eating

Cafes around Port Hercule and the Condamine market area are used to visitors and will accommodate kids, though menus lean upscale. Stock up at the Condamine covered market for affordable, kid-friendly picnic food between pricier restaurant meals.

πŸ›‘οΈSafety

One of the safest places on earth, with dense CCTV coverage and constant police presence. Tap water is safe to drink, and traffic during Grand Prix season (May) is the main thing to plan around with a stroller.

πŸ₯Hospitals

Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace has a paediatric department, and Lenval Children's Hospital in nearby Nice (about 20 minutes away) is a dedicated paediatric facility for anything more serious. English is widely understood in medical settings given the international community.
