Older streets in the city centre have some uneven Victorian paving, but buses and the Mersey Ferry are both buggy-friendly.

Family chains around Liverpool ONE and Albert Dock (Nando's, Wagamama, Bill's) all have high chairs and kids' menus, and Baltic Triangle cafes are relaxed about children even outside typical family hours. Liverpool's food scene leans casual and affordable compared to London.

🛡️Safety

Liverpool city centre and the main tourist areas (waterfront, Liverpool ONE, Georgian Quarter) are well-lit and busy with families, and violent crime affecting tourists is uncommon. As in any big UK city, keep an eye on bags in crowded spots like Church Street, and tap water is safe to drink everywhere.

🏥Hospitals

Alder Hey Children's Hospital, one of the UK's leading paediatric hospitals, is a short taxi ride from the city centre and treats visiting families as a matter of course. Pharmacies (Boots, Superdrug) are plentiful in the city centre for everyday medicine and formula.
