Resort grounds and the main Chaweng and Bophut beach walks are flat and manageable with a stroller, but many side roads lack pavements and beach sand makes wheels difficult, so a baby carrier is worth packing alongside the stroller. Taxis don't always have space for a folded stroller, so factor that into transfers.

Beachfront restaurants are very used to young children, and most resorts have kids' menus with familiar options alongside Thai food. Fisherman's Village in Bophut has a relaxed, walkable strip of family-friendly restaurants. Fresh coconut water and tropical fruit are easy, healthy snacks for hot afternoons.

🛡️Safety

Koh Samui is relaxed and low-crime, though road safety around scooters is the main concern: stick to taxis or private transfers rather than renting a scooter with a toddler. Rip currents can be strong on some beaches during the November to December monsoon, so check flags and ask your resort about safe swimming spots.

🏥Hospitals

Bangkok Hospital Samui is a well-equipped private hospital with English-speaking doctors and a 24-hour emergency department, and it's the go-to for international visitors. Smaller clinics handle everyday issues, but anything serious means a trip to the main hospital in Chaweng, so check your accommodation's proximity when booking.
