🚼Stroller
Phuket's resort areas (Patong, Kata, Kamala, Layan) have reasonable footpaths near the beach but the hillier roads and busy town centres are difficult for strollers. Within resort grounds, strollers work beautifully. A carrier is more practical for beach visits and market exploration.
🍽️Food & Eating
Phuket's food scene is exceptionally well-suited to family travel — beach club dining, resort restaurants, and the local street food scene all welcome children warmly. Mild Thai dishes, fresh seafood, and tropical fruit keep toddlers happy and prices are very reasonable.
🛡️Safety
Generally safe in tourist areas. The main safety concerns are rip currents on the west coast (always swim at patrolled beaches and check flags), scooter accidents (avoid riding with children), and jet ski rental scams. Monsoon season (May–October) brings rough seas that make many beaches unsuitable for young children.
🏥Hospitals
Bangkok Hospital Phuket and Mission Hospital Phuket are the main private international hospitals with English-speaking staff and 24hr emergency departments. Both have solid paediatric capability for tourist-related cases.
