πΌPram
Kaohsiung's wide boulevards and MRT stations (all with elevators) make stroller travel easy, and the Cijin Island boardwalk and Pier-2 Art Center are flat and fully paved. Older lanes in Yancheng District have uneven brick pavement, so a lightweight stroller copes better there than a bulky one.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Liuhe and Ruifeng night markets serve mild, kid-friendly dishes like scallion pancakes, oyster omelets, and fresh fruit cups, and most sit-down restaurants provide high chairs without being asked. Convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart) are on nearly every block for formula, snacks, and diapers.
π‘οΈSafety
Kaohsiung is very safe for families, with low crime and generally courteous drivers around schools and parks. The main hazard is scooter traffic at unmarked crossings, so hold hands and cross at signaled intersections rather than mid-block.
π₯Hospitals
Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital both run 24-hour pediatric emergency departments with English-speaking staff. E-Da Hospital in nearby Yanchao is another solid option with a dedicated children's ward.
