Hamilton's streets and the Railway Trail (a car-free path across much of the island) are excellent for strollers, flat, paved, and scenic. Beaches like Horseshoe Bay involve some steps down to the sand, so a carrier helps for the final stretch. Bermuda's compact size makes exploring by stroller genuinely practical.

Hamilton has a range of family-friendly restaurants, from casual fish sandwich spots to international dining, and English-speaking service is universal. Tap water (collected rainwater) is safe to drink and standard across the island. Bermuda is expensive, so budget for higher restaurant prices than most Caribbean destinations.

🛡️Safety

Bermuda is one of the safest destinations in the region, with very low crime and a stable, affluent community. Pink sand beaches like Horseshoe Bay are beautiful but can have strong currents and undertow, so heed lifeguard flags. Moped and scooter traffic (a common way to get around) is worth being cautious of with young children near roads.

🏥Hospitals

King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in Hamilton is a well-equipped facility with English-speaking staff and pediatric care. Pharmacies are easy to find in Hamilton's compact downtown. Healthcare is excellent but costly, confirm your travel insurance covers Bermuda specifically as some US policies treat it separately from the Caribbean.
