Boston is walkable but hilly and cobbled in older areas like Beacon Hill and parts of the Freedom Trail, so a sturdy stroller helps. The Boston Common, Public Garden, and the Seaport district are much smoother and easier going.

Family-friendly seafood spots (chowder houses, casual clam shacks) are everywhere, and Quincy Market's food hall is an easy stop for picky eaters with lots of choice under one roof. Tap water is safe to drink.

🛡️Safety

Boston is one of the safer big US cities, especially around the main tourist areas like the Freedom Trail, Back Bay, and the waterfront. Winters are cold and snowy, so a spring through early autumn trip is far more toddler-friendly.

🏥Hospitals

Boston Children's Hospital is one of the best paediatric hospitals in the world and located right in the city. Massachusetts General Hospital also has strong paediatric emergency services.
