πΌPram
This is a beach and resort region rather than a walkable city, so strollers matter less than a good beach buggy or carrier for sandy stretches. Most large family resorts on the Kassandra and Sithonia peninsulas have flat, paved grounds between rooms, pools and the beach.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Family-run tavernas along the coast are extremely welcoming to kids and often have a play area or garden where toddlers can roam while parents finish a meal. Fresh grilled fish and simple grilled meats are easy, toddler-friendly staples, and most resorts also offer buffet dining with familiar options.
π‘οΈSafety
Halkidiki is a low-crime, laid-back holiday region with calm, shallow water at many family beaches, particularly on Kassandra. Tap water is generally safe though many visitors prefer bottled water in rural areas. The sun is the main hazard: shade, hats and reef shoes for rocky patches are worth packing.
π₯Hospitals
Healthcare is limited outside the main towns; the General Hospital of Halkidiki in Polygyros covers routine and emergency needs, while more serious cases are usually transferred to Thessaloniki, about an hour or two away depending on where you're staying. Most large resorts have an on-call doctor arrangement for guests, which is worth confirming at check-in.
