Parent Tips

🚼Pram

Beach resort paths and hotel grounds are stroller friendly, but sand, uneven laterite lanes in old villages, and narrow market streets in Panjim make a lightweight stroller or a carrier the better combo. Ride share cars (Ola, Uber) can fold most strollers into the boot without trouble.

🍽️Food & Eating

Beach shacks and resorts in Candolim, Calangute, and Baga serve familiar fare like pasta, grilled fish, and fries alongside Goan curries, so fussy eaters are rarely stuck. Stick to bottled or filtered water and well cooked seafood, and ask for dishes made mild since Goan food can run spicy.

πŸ›‘οΈSafety

Goa is one of India's more relaxed states for families, with low crime in tourist areas, though sun exposure, strong currents on open beaches, and stray dogs are the main day to day hazards. Choose calmer beaches like Baga's northern end or Colva for toddlers rather than Anjuna or Arambol's rockier stretches.

πŸ₯Hospitals

Manipal Hospital Goa in Dona Paula and Apollo Victor Hospital in Margao both have 24 hour emergency and pediatric care and are used to treating tourists. Most resorts in Candolim and Baga are within a 20 minute drive of one of these two.
