πΌPram
The BTS Skytrain and MRT subway both have elevators at most stations, and shopping malls like Siam Paragon and CentralWorld are fully stroller friendly with air conditioning. Street level pavements in older neighborhoods like Chinatown and Khao San Road are uneven and crowded, so a lightweight umbrella stroller or carrier works better there than a full size pram.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Bangkok is one of the easiest cities in Asia to feed a toddler. Family malls have food courts with rice, noodles, and fruit at low prices, and chains like MK Restaurant and Fuji have picture menus and high chairs. Spicy dishes are easy to order mild (mai phet), and 7-Eleven is on every corner for emergency snacks and formula.
π‘οΈSafety
Bangkok is generally safe for families, with low rates of violent crime, though traffic is the real hazard: cross at marked crossings and hold hands tightly near busy roads. Tap water isn't safe to drink, so stick to bottled or filtered water. Air quality can dip during the burning season, roughly February to April, worth checking before travel with young lungs.
π₯Hospitals
Bumrungrad International Hospital and Samitivej Hospital both have dedicated pediatric departments, English-speaking staff, and are used to treating international families. Pharmacies are widespread and well stocked, though it's worth bringing a supply of any specific medications your child needs since brands differ.
