El Nido town is small and mostly unpaved sandy or gravel roads, so a stroller is impractical; a lightweight carrier is the better call. Island-hopping tours involve wading ashore from bangka boats, so pack accordingly and expect to carry rather than wheel your child for most of the day.

Resort restaurants offer simple, familiar food (rice, grilled fish, pasta) with high chairs at the nicer properties, but variety is limited compared to bigger Philippine cities. Stock up on baby food, formula, and snacks in Manila or Puerto Princesa before heading in, since El Nido's shops are basic.

El Nido is generally safe and laid-back, but the main activity, boat-based island hopping through the lagoons, means supervising toddlers closely around boats, ladders, and open water. Roads to and from the town are unpaved and bumpy, so factor that into transfer times.

🏥Hospitals

El Nido has only a small rural health unit for minor issues. Anything serious means a roughly 5-hour drive to Puerto Princesa or a flight back to Manila, so comprehensive travel insurance with medevac cover is essential here.
