Budva's new town and the long Slovenska Plaža beach promenade are flat, wide, and easy with a stroller, a big contrast to Kotor's cobbled alleys. The small Old Town has narrow stone streets but is compact enough to carry a toddler through in a few minutes. Pavements outside the tourist core are less consistent, so a sturdy stroller helps.

🍽️Food & Eating

Budva is built around beach tourism, so restaurants along the promenade are very used to families and typically have kids' menus, high chairs, and quick service. Konoba (traditional taverns) serve grilled fish and cevapi that most toddlers happily eat. Supermarkets near the marina stock familiar formula and snack brands.

🛡️Safety

Budva is generally safe for families, though its lively nightlife strip is worth avoiding late in the evening with young children in tow. The beaches shelve gently in most spots, but currents can pick up, so stick to supervised swim areas. Summer heat is intense, so plan beach time for morning or late afternoon.

🏥Hospitals

Budva has a health center for minor issues, with the nearest full hospital in Kotor and more specialist pediatric care in Podgorica, about an hour's drive. Pharmacies are plentiful along the tourist strip and stock standard children's medicines and sun care. Given the drive to serious medical care, travel insurance with evacuation cover is worthwhile.
