Old Quebec's cobblestone streets and steep hills, especially around Petit-Champlain, are genuinely difficult with a stroller, so a carrier works better for the old town; the funicular between Upper and Lower Town is a stroller-friendly shortcut. The Plains of Abraham park is flat and easy.

Creperies and poutine spots throughout Old Quebec are casual and welcoming to kids, and the Marche du Vieux-Port has fresh, simple food options. Most restaurants have high chairs, though French is the primary language of service.

🛡️Safety

Quebec City is extremely safe with very low crime. Winters are cold and snowy, which is part of the appeal for Winter Carnival but requires proper gear for a toddler.

🏥Hospitals

CHU de Quebec-Universite Laval includes pediatric services and is the region's main hospital system. English is less widely spoken in medical settings here than in Montreal, so having a translation app handy is useful.
