Nosy Be's main town of Hell-Ville and the resort beaches of Ambatoloaka have sandy, uneven paths, so a carrier works far better than a stroller for most of the island. Resort grounds themselves tend to be flatter and easier going.

🍽️Food & Eating

Fresh seafood and tropical fruit are abundant and easy for toddlers, and the island's French influence means bread and simple pasta dishes are widely available at hotels and small restaurants. Stick to bottled water and well-cooked food throughout.

🛡️Safety

Nosy Be is relatively calm and tourism-focused, though this is a malaria area requiring precautions for young children. Infrastructure is basic outside the resorts, so it's worth keeping expectations realistic about road conditions and services.

🏥Hospitals

Medical facilities are very limited: a small local hospital in Hell-Ville handles basic care, but anything serious requires evacuation to Antananarivo or further afield. Comprehensive travel insurance with medical evacuation cover is essential here, and packing a solid first aid kit is wise.
