πΌPram
The Promenade des Anglais is flat, long and ideal for strollers, and Nice's tram system is modern and accessible. The main beaches are pebble rather than sand, so an all-terrain stroller wheel or a carrier helps for the last stretch down to the water.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Nice has a huge range of family-friendly restaurants along the promenade and in the Old Town, with socca (a local chickpea pancake) and simple Mediterranean dishes easy for kids to enjoy. High chairs and kids' menus are standard at most casual spots. Supermarkets are well stocked with familiar baby brands.
π‘οΈSafety
Nice is a safe, well-run city with low crime in the main tourist areas. Tap water is safe to drink. The pebble beaches mean water shoes are worth packing for toddlers, and the seabed can shelve quickly in places, so supervise swimming closely.
π₯Hospitals
Hopitaux Pediatriques de Nice CHU-Lenval is a dedicated children's hospital right in the city, one of the best pediatric facilities on the French Riviera. Pharmacies are abundant and easy to spot by their green cross signs. English is reasonably common given the city's international tourist base.
