Parent Tips

🚼Pram

Big malls like SM Mall of Asia and Bonifacio High Street are fully stroller friendly with lifts and ramps everywhere, and Manila's mall culture means you're rarely far from air-conditioned, buggy-friendly space. Intramuros and the older districts have broken pavements and heavy traffic, so a carrier works better there.

🍽️Food & Eating

English menus are the norm and Jollibee, the beloved local chain, has high chairs and play areas that make it an easy toddler stop. Malls have supermarkets and pharmacies for formula and baby supplies, and Filipino food is generally mild and rice-based.

πŸ›‘οΈSafety

Manila's traffic is intense and pavements are inconsistent, so keep a close hand on kids near roads. Petty theft can occur in crowded areas, so use common sense with bags and valuables, and avoid walking after dark in unfamiliar districts.

πŸ₯Hospitals

St. Luke's Medical Center, with campuses in Quezon City and Bonifacio Global City, is excellent and English-speaking, and a top choice for international families. Makati Medical Center is another strong option in the business district.
