The big resort chains here (Kempinski, Marriott, Hilton) sit on flat, landscaped grounds with paved paths down to the private beach clubs, easy with a stroller once you're inside the gates. There's little reason to leave resort grounds, as the shoreline outside them is mostly undeveloped and rocky.

🍽️Food & Eating

Resort restaurants are used to families and offer buffet-style dining that works well for picky toddlers. There's little in the way of independent dining nearby, so budget for resort meal plans.

🛡️Safety

The Dead Sea itself needs care with young children: the extremely salty water stings eyes and any small cuts badly, and it's not really a place to "swim" so much as float briefly and rinse off immediately after. Most resorts have separate freshwater pools that are a better fit for toddlers, saving the salt lake experience for a short, supervised dip.

🏥Hospitals

Medical facilities right at the Dead Sea are limited to resort first-aid stations; the nearest proper hospital is back in Amman or Madaba, about an hour's drive. Rinse-off showers are available lakeside, but it's worth bringing your own supply of fresh water and a change of clothes for little ones.
