Cape Cod's town centers, like Chatham and Provincetown, have walkable, mostly flat sidewalks, though many of the best beaches require crossing soft sand where a stroller struggles, so a beach wagon is worth packing. The Cape Cod Rail Trail is paved and excellent for strolling or biking.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Clam shacks like Arnold's in Eastham and The Lobster Pot in Provincetown are casual, loud, and completely fine with toddlers. Ice cream stands are everywhere and make a reliable afternoon treat.
π‘οΈSafety
A very safe, low-crime destination overall. Rip currents on the ocean-side beaches (versus the calmer bay-side beaches) are the main hazard, so bay beaches like Skaket are the better toddler choice.
π₯Hospitals
Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis is the main facility with a 24-hour ER, though it's a general rather than dedicated pediatric hospital. Pharmacies are available in most town centers along Route 6A and 28.
