Savannah's brick sidewalks and squares are charming but uneven, and some historic district paths have exposed roots and gaps, so a sturdy all-terrain stroller works better than a lightweight umbrella one. Forsyth Park itself has smooth paved paths.

🍽️Food & Eating

The Collins Quarter and Mrs. Wilkes' Dining Room both handle families well despite the lines, and River Street has casual, kid-friendly options with outdoor seating. Leopold's Ice Cream is a local institution worth the stop.

🛡️Safety

The historic squares and River Street are safe and well trafficked, though some areas south and west of downtown warrant more caution after dark. Humid, hot summers make spring and fall the more comfortable seasons for toddlers.

🏥Hospitals

Memorial Health University Medical Center has a pediatric ER and is the main hospital serving Savannah. Pharmacies are plentiful along Abercorn Street and near the historic district.
