🚼Pram

The promenade around La Concha bay is flat, wide and one of the best urban strolling routes in Spain, but the old town's narrow streets and Monte Igueldo's funicular-accessed viewpoint involve steps and hills. Base yourself near La Concha for the easiest pram access.

🍽️Food & Eating

San Sebastian's famous pintxos bars are small, standing-room affairs that aren't ideal for toddlers in high chairs, so seek out sit-down restaurants in the Gros or Centro neighborhoods for family meals. Many mid-range restaurants do have kids' menus despite the city's Michelin-starred reputation. Supermarkets carry standard baby supplies.

🛡️Safety

San Sebastian is one of the safest cities in Spain, with very low crime and a relaxed, walkable feel. Tap water is safe to drink. La Concha beach is gently sloping and sheltered, making it genuinely excellent for toddlers to paddle and play.

🏥Hospitals

Hospital Universitario Donostia is a large, well-regarded public hospital with a pediatric emergency department. English isn't universally spoken at reception, but care quality is high. Pharmacies are easy to find throughout the city.
