Central Delhi areas like Lutyens' Delhi and Connaught Place have wide pavements suited to a stroller, but Old Delhi's lanes near Chandni Chowk are dense, crowded, and stroller unfriendly, a carrier is essential there. The Delhi Metro is stroller accessible with lifts at most stations, though rush hour crowding makes off peak travel much easier with a toddler.

Delhi has an enormous range of restaurants from mild North Indian dal and paneer dishes to international chains in Khan Market and Vasant Kunj, so toddlers with plain palates are well catered for. Stick to bottled water, freshly cooked hot food, and avoid raw salads or street ice to reduce stomach upset risk.

Tourist areas are generally safe with visible police presence, but Delhi's traffic is intense and pavements are inconsistent, so hold hands firmly near roads.
