Tashkent's Soviet-era boulevards around Amir Timur Square and the Broadway pedestrian street are wide and mostly flat, so strollers work well there. The ornate metro stations are worth visiting for their architecture, but many rely on stairs or escalators rather than lifts, so carrying a light stroller helps.

Uzbek plov, lagman noodle soup, and fresh non bread are filling and mild for toddlers, and Korean-Uzbek side dishes like carrot salad are easy to share at the table. Western-style cafes around Amir Timur Square have high chairs and familiar menu items if a child needs something plainer.
