πΌStroller
The main Angkor temple complex has mostly flat pathways but ancient stone steps, uneven causeways, and sandy paths make strollers impractical for much of the sightseeing. A carrier is essential for temple exploration. The town area and resort districts have reasonable flat surfaces for resort-based strolling.
π½οΈFood & Eating
Cambodian food is relatively mild and toddler-friendly β rice, noodles, fresh spring rolls, and grilled meats are widely available. The Pub Street and Old Market area have international-friendly restaurants that cater to Western families. Bottled water only throughout.
π‘οΈSafety
Generally safe in the tourist areas but medical facilities are very limited. Mosquitoes carrying dengue fever are present β use strong repellent on children at dawn and dusk. Tap water is not safe. Unexploded ordnance (UXO) means children must never leave established paths in rural areas.
π₯Hospitals
Royal Angkor International Hospital is the main English-language private facility in Siem Reap. For serious cases, medical evacuation to Bangkok or Singapore is standard. Travel insurance with evacuation cover is absolutely essential.
